Romney’s Taxes – In 2011 Romney paid 14.1% in taxes on 13.5 million dollars. They gave over 4 million to charity (30%) and only claimed half that amount as a deduction. In the past twenty years the Romney’s paid an effective tax rate of 20.5% and gave 13.5% to charity. They paid nearly 40% in state, local, federal, and charities over 20 years (of course this does not include sales taxes).
Free Speech - Seven Pakistani television stations broadcast U.S. government public service messages featuring President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton denouncing a film clip insulting Mohammed. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland confirmed the ads were produced and paid for by the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, at a cost of $70,000. They aired on the same day as the army had to be called in to prevent violent protestors from breaching a diplomatic enclave where the embassy in located. In fact, the US state department has condemned a Pakistani minister's offer of $100000 (£61600) for the death of the American maker of the anti-Islam film.
Romney’s skin completion – With the economy in the tank and anti-American protests around the globe, the big story on media and left blog sites is Romney’s skin completion, which they claim he darkened for his Univision interview. This of course has been refuted by the makeup artist – Lazz Rodriquez.
Education – U.S. high school students graduate with just a 32 percent proficiency rate in math, according to a Harvard study — a figure that puts America behind 31 other countries, including Japan, Korea, Switzerland and Canada.
Priorities – World leaders gathered at the UN last week, President Barack Obama has no plans to meet privately with any of them. He will make time for "The View," a freewheeling TV talk show. On the View both Michelle and Barack bragged about themselves as the first lady boasted about “working out” and the President said “he was just eye candy” to many.
Mistake – For the third time in 2 months Obama was asked what his biggest mistake has been as president and he gave 60 Minutes a different answer than his Univision and ABC interviews.
Libya – Obama refers to the four dead Americans in Libya as “bumps in the road” on the way to progress. In fact, Obama still fails to call what happened in Libya as a terror attack. What’s worse, both CNN and CBS are reporting that the FBI has yet to secure the crime scene at the Libya embassy which is home to many secure documents including uncovering ambassador Chris Steven’s personal journal.
Campaign Ads - President Barack Obama acknowledged in unaired portions of a "60 Minutes" interview that his campaign ads sometimes go "overboard" when it comes to attacking Mitt Romney.
Medicare - Seniors enrolled in seven of the 10 most popular Medicare prescription drug plans will be hit with double-digit premium hikes next year if they don't shop for a better deal, says a private firm that analyzes the highly competitive healthcare industry.
Planned Parenthood - The Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the political arm of the company that does more than 300,000 abortions annually and has endorsed Obama, plans to spend more than $3 million to target voters in the battleground states of Ohio and Virginia with ads bashing Romney for wanting to cut its taxpayer funding. The $3.2 million campaign will feature everything from online ads to old-fashioned door to door politics.
