Obama’s Lowlights (10/21/12)

VP Debate – Joe Biden was a disgrace, obnoxious, rude, condescending, disrespectful, arrogant, and outright childish in this debate. And Americans are to believe he and Obama are the ones that can work together in a bipartisan way. This is the Obama administrations definition of civil discourse. You must listen to be able to compromise. In the wake of Biden’s comments on Libya, the administration is claiming they were not made aware of increased security requests by the embassy.

Big Bird – Obama campaign spokesperson Jen Psaki had this to say on the topic "There's been a strong grassroots outcry over the attacks on Big Bird. This is something that mothers across the country are alarmed about, and you know, we're tapping into that," Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One”.

Economy - The IMF is predicting lower growth in the world economy.

Libya – There were no protests before the attack on the US Embassy as the White House and State Department claimed the days following the attack. In fact, in a house oversight hearing General Wood suggested al-Qaida is more established in Libya than the U.S.

Yemen - Masked gunmen shot dead a Yemeni security chief on his way to work at the U.S. embassy in Sanaa this past week, in an attack a Yemeni security source said appeared to be the work of al Qaeda.

Election Fraud - New video from Project Veritas shows an Obama for America campaign staffer providing advice and a ballot to an undercover reporter posing as an Obama activist about how to vote twice in the upcoming presidential election. A day later another video shows volunteers in Brooklyn and an official Obama for America office in Minnesota encouraging double voting.

First Presidential Debate – According the UK Daily Mall “When President Barack Obama stepped off the stage in Denver last week the 60 million Americans watching the debate against Mitt Romney already knew it had been a disaster for him. But what nobody knew, until now, was that Obama believed he had actually won.”

Stacy Dash – The African-American Actress has drawn scrutiny and obscene remarks for saying she is backing Romney in the election.

Voter ID – A federal judge upholds a South Carolina Voter ID law but it will not go into effect until 2013.

Claire McCaskill – It turns out her husband received 40 million in stimulus money to fix up low income housing projects he runs.

Greece – Unemployment has reached a record 25.1% in the financially strapped country.

Stephanie Cutter – The Obama campaign chief told CNN that “the entire reason this (Libya) has become the political topic it is, is because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.”

Well said, Patrick. I actually I think I dislike Biden even more than Obama.

Regarding Big Bird, Romney has thus far passed up a great opportunity that the Obama camp’s focus on Big Bird provides. He should say that Obama’s decision to ignore the broader point he was making about gov’t spending and to try and rally people behind PBS demonstrates what a fiscally unserious man he is. If we can’t cut a program that should be self-sustaining, what can we cut under Obama? Nothing apparently. That certainly explains why the man who promised to cut the annual deficit in half doubled it instead.

Leave it to the Obama campaign find a way to solve the Libya dilemma – declare that talking about current events during a political campaign is “politicizing.” I’m sure that’s what Obama is going to rely on in the debate tonight to protect himself from criticism.

  2. Good point on PBS CW.

That was the worst debate I had ever seen in my life (the VP debate). I had to turn it off, the moderator lost control of Biden.

  4. Yes. Hopefully Romney can at least get a draw.
