Obama's Lowlights (9/29/11)

Islam – A new poll found that 63% of Americans are in favor of Representative Peter King’s hearings on the radicalization of Islam in America. Fast and Furious – The DOJ, FBI, and ATF have failed to issue a criminal report on the killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry (almost a year). Meanwhile, CBS has uncovered a recording suggesting that 3 guns from the Fast and Furious program were used in the killing, not two. All testimony to date from the DOJ, FBI, and ATF assert only two Fast and Furious guns were used in Terry’s death. In a second recording obtained by CBS, Terry’s death was described as collateral damage. And if this conflicting information about Terry’s death is not bad enough, the Mexican Attorney General is on record indicating that more than 200 deaths can be linked to operation Fast and Furious. Work Environment – A new book, by Ron Suskind, which interviewed over 200 White House staffers, claims that the Obama White House work environment has been hostile towards women. The book also called the White House west wing dysfunctional. Planned Parenthood – An internal document revealed Planned Parenthood affiliates performed 332,278 abortions in 2009. Crime – Violent crime was down 12% in 2010. This data refutes liberal claims that there is more violent right wing extremist activity. Liberals continually argue that extremists are angry because the U.S. now has an African-American president. Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) - "Unhappy members of the Congressional Black Caucus probably would be marching on the White House” if Obama were not president, according to CBC Chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver. Libya – Obama was touting the international effort in Libya as a success at the UN last week. Can the president actually assert Libya is a success without knowing how the opposition government is going to rule? If Libya fails to create a stable democracy, then the effort has to be ruled a failure. Time will tell. Taxes – Obama has been campaigning for the passage of his American Jobs Act. Time after time he has made a statement proclaiming that middle class folks pay more in taxes than millionaires because of loopholes. This is completely untrue and anyone can attest to this fact by reviewing IRS records. According to the IRS, in 2010, the top 10% of income earners pay nearly 90% of all income taxes in the U.S. Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT) – The controversial military policy, DADT (military policy on how to handle gay personal), has officially ended this past week. Stimulus 2.0 – Moderate Democrats (both House and Senate) are on record of being against the proposed tax hikes in the plan; recent polls show that independents are against the proposed plan by a 20% margin; and liberal media outlets such as ABC and MSM disagree with Obama’s fiscal assessment of the Buffet Rule in his proposed legislation. DOJ – An audit of the Department of Justice (DOJ) concluded that the office spent 121 million dollars in 2008 and 2009 on internal conferences (far over budget). What’s worse is that the audit specified the spending was extravagant and wasteful - including spending 16 dollars apiece for a muffin, cookie, or soft drink. Ground Zero Mosque – The new Islamic Center opened the first floor of its complex this past week. My Book: Is America Dying? (Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble)
