DNC Merchandise – Members of the media used fake names to purchase Obama merchandise – members of the media are not supposed to support a campaign, they are to be neutral.
Lawyers – The best thing about the Romney / Ryan ticket is that they are not lawyers. Lawyers have a place in our society, but there are too many and they are destroying this country. They don’t build anything, but many make a living off taxpayer money which drives up the cost of many commodities and services due to frivolous lawsuits and their incompetent interpretation of the law. Obama is a perfect example because he continually violates the Constitution by unilaterally passing legislation, rules, regulations, mandates, and expanding the power of the executive branch with more bureaucrats with no oversight (Czars).
Afghanistan - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered a report to Congress formally designating the Haqqani network as a terrorist organization. The network is responsible for the deadliest attacks on American troops in Afghanistan.
DNC – Five million less people watched Obama’s DNC speech this year than 2008. However, his speech was viewed by 5 million more people than viewed Romney’s RNC speech. But the big news for Obama was a 7 point bounce in the polls after the DNC.
Iraq - Iraq's fugitive Sunni vice president was sentenced Sunday to death by hanging on charges he masterminded death squads against rivals in a terror trial that has fueled sectarian tensions in the country. Underscoring the instability, insurgents unleashed an onslaught of bombings and shootings across Iraq, killing at least 92 people in one of the deadliest days this year.
Technology – The Washington Times wrote that the President had no clue on how to operate an iphone and when it was not doing what it thought it should he blamed the manufacturing.
Campaign – Romney raised over 111 million dollars in August and has 165 million dollars on hand. Obama hauled in 114 million dollars in August.
Teacher Unions – Chicago teachers go on strike as they claim “for the kids”.
Economy – For the third straight year Obama gave himself an incomplete grade on the economy.
Lifeguards – Inside Edition exposed lifeguards who make 200 thousand a year and are retired before age 50.
Chevy Volt – Chevrolet loses 49 thousand dollars for every Volt they sell.
New York City – The number of children in homeless shelters reaches 19 thousand.
National Security – From Marc Thiessen: “The Government Accountability Institute examined President Obama’s schedule from the day he took office until mid-June 2012, to see how often he attended his Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) — the meeting at which he is briefed on the most critical intelligence threats to the country. During his first 1,225 days in office, Obama attended his PDB just 536 times —or 43.8 percent of the time. During 2011 and the first half of 2012, his attendance became even less frequent — falling to just over 38 percent. By contrast, Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush almost never missed his daily intelligence meeting.”
Illegal Immigration - The U.S. government has halted flights home for Mexicans caught entering the country illegally in the deadly summer heat of Arizona's deserts, a money-saving move that ends a seven-year experiment that cost taxpayers nearly $100 million.
