France - France's new Socialist president owns three holiday homes in the Riviera resort of Cannes. Francois Hollande, 57, who “dislikes the rich” and wants to revolutionize his country with high taxes and an onslaught against bankers, is in fact hugely wealthy himself.
California – “California's budget deficit has swelled to a projected $16 billion — much larger than had been predicted just months ago — and will force severe cuts to schools and public safety if voters fail to approve tax increases.” Why is the only solution to increase taxes? Californians are getting what they deserve after electing Brown back into office.
Forests – This from the LA Times “Today, the hottest and thirstiest parts of the United States are best described as over-forested. Vigorous federal protection has stocked semiarid regions of public land with several billion trees too many. And day after day these excess trees deplete a natural resource that has become far more precious than toilet paper or 2-by-4's: water.”
Newsweek – Newsweek referred to Obama as the “first gay president”.
MSNBC – Liberal host Tamara Hall kicks off her program Washington Posts Tim Carney for disagreeing about the Romney bullying story. I guess we can say Hall bullied Carney.
Obama Campaign - Mitt Romney, a job-killing economic "vampire"? That's the message of a new ad by President Barack Obama's re-election campaign. In other news, Obama is banning the use of cell phones at his fundraising events. He does not want anyone to record a potential gaffe.
Illegal Immigrants - A federal deportation program that scours local jails for illegal immigrants will expand into New York and Massachusetts, despite objections from the Democratic governors of those states. In other news, Florida election authorities are examining about 180,000 people who they say may not be U.S. citizens but are registered to vote in the state, an official said this past week.
Obama / Reagan - The Heritage Foundation’s Rory Cooper tweeted that Obama had casually dropped his own name into Ronald Reagan’s official biography on www.whitehouse.gov, claiming credit for taking up the mantle of Reagan’s tax reform advocacy with his “Buffett Rule” gimmick. This is true, I checked! But it does not end there; Obama has put his name in the biography of every President since Coolidge (except Ford). Who would have thought Obama accomplished so much even before he was born.
Commencement Speakers – In a survey of commencement speakers at the nation’s top 100 universities, 71 were liberal and only 10 considered themselves conservative.
Elizabeth Warren - The "genealogist", Lynda Smith, who offered Elizabeth Warren's only strand of proof that she has any Native American blood in her lineage turns out to be an amateur who now admits the "evidence" she thought she'd collected does not actually exist. Hence, Warren may have 0% Cherokee blood and not the miniscule 1/32 Smith originally claimed.
TSA - An illegal immigrant worked undetected at Newark Liberty International Airport for 20 years, and used a dead man's identity to acquire a top position in airport security, officials said.
Very interesting lowlights, Patrick.

Did you see Brian’s blog on this topic? He made the great point that it’s always schools and police that are threatened, never social services or subsidies to illegal aliens or other pet liberal programs.
“...Obama is banning the use of cell phones at his fundraising events.”
What! But he’s the most “transparent” president ever, we are told.
Regarding Elizabeth Warren, I wish someone would ask why it’s such a badge of honor to have Indian blood in the first place, as if anyone has a choice about who their ancestors were.
All good points CW. Fear mongering, hypocrisy, and ethnic favoritism all seem to be Left policies and ideas.
