Climate Change – Here is the latest study done by climate change scientists “Dinosaurs may be partly to blame for a change in climate because they created so much flatulence, according to leading scientists.” This is ridiculous!
Obama Campaign Ad – A new ad about the chief accomplishments for the administration first term fails to mention ObamaCare. Odd how Obama’s campaign left out his “signature” legislation – maybe they know the Supreme Court is going to rule it unconstitutional.
Negotiating with Terrorists - The United States has been secretly releasing detainees from a military prison in Afghanistan as part of negotiations with insurgent groups, the Washington Post reported this past week. An official had this to say on the subject “Everyone agrees they are guilty of what they have done and should remain in detention. Everyone agrees that these are bad guys. But the benefits outweigh the risks.” If the benefits outweigh the risks, then why all the secrecy?
France – This past week, socialist French President Nicolas Sarkozy lost to mega-socialist Francois Hollande. Hollande vowed to increase taxes on the "rich" by 75 percent, lower the retirement age and increase government spending. This is not good news for the Eurozone which is teetering on a financial collapse.
Georgetown University – Pro-abortion advocate and head of the Health and Human Services Department, Kathleen Sebelius, has been invited to speak at the Catholic university’s commencement ceremony.
9/11 – The trial of the suspected 9/11 defendants is underway at Guantanamo Bay. One of the female lawyers, Cheryl Bormann, is wearing a Burqa in court “out of respect” for her clients and requested all other women in the courtroom to do the same. It is a sad day when we are afraid of offending mass murderers.
Abortion – National Abortion Access, a non-profit organization, says every donation to end a life is 100% tax deductible.
Junk Food – Massachusetts has banned junk food from being sold in public schools which includes the cafeteria, vending machines, and even celebrations and bake sales.
Compassion – Paul Ryan made a great point this past week by saying “Stop measuring compassion by how much we spend”.
Bin Laden Raid - According to former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, a "highly lawyered" memo was prepared just in case the raid went bad, pinning the blame not on President Obama, who has since taken credit for the kill, but on the military.
Iran – Joe Biden blamed President Bush for Iran’s aspirations to build nuclear weaponry.
War on Terror – The war on terror is over according to top Obama advisors.
MSNBC – MSNBC uses children on Reverend Al Sharpton’s show to do a satire on Romney.
Election Results – There were some interesting election results this past week. North Carolina became the 31st state to adapt a law protecting marriage between a man and women. In Wisconsin, Democrats chose Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to run against Scott Walker in the recall election for governor. Here are some good signs for the GOP in that race – Barrett lost to Walker in 2010; over half of the people who signed the recall petition did not show up to vote in the primary; and finally, Walker who ran unopposed got more votes than the Democratic candidates combined. It will cost the tax payers 16 million dollars for this recall election.
Occupy DC - The Service Employees International Union, one of Obama's most vocal supporters among labor groups, is paying $4,000 a month for three offices the Occupy protesters will use for at least the next six months to plan future demonstrations, organize and host workshops.
