Obama’s Lowlights (8/6/12)

Economy - U.S. manufacturing growth in July slowed to its most sluggish pace since December 2010.  Economists worry that a decrease in manufacturing could be a symptom of a dangerous loss of economic momentum. Also, U.S. economic growth slowed to 1.5% in the second quarter. In other news, Ford’s profit dropped 57 percent in the second quarter.

General Motors – The car company still owes the government (taxpayers) 42 billion of 50 billion dollars in loans.

New York - The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is considering adding on a 'green fee' on each new MetroCard to encourage riders to recycle their cards.

Gun Control – In the aftermath of the Aurora massacre, President Obama has flipped flopped and now says he is seeking more gun control laws.

Climate Change - The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change produced a global warming model that blamed humans and predicted a global climate catastrophe. Now though, many scientists are retracting their cataclysmic predictions and reassuring the public that there is nothing to worry about and that no report proves that carbon emissions harm the Earth’s climate.

Germany - Germany’s credit rating is likely to drop from AAA. Moody’s credit rating agency has pronounced Germany’s credit rating outlook to be negative, which often precedes downgrades.

Gay Porn - One of the "bundlers" who has raised $50,000 to $100,000 for the Barack Obama presidential campaign is Terrence Bean, who once controlled the biggest producer of gay porn in America.

Federal Reserve – Are government audits coming for the Federal Reserve? The House of Representatives has passed legislation, in bipartisan fashion, to do just that but unfortunately it is expected to die as soon as it reaches the Senate floor. However, most Democrats are against the audit because they do not want to make it like they meddle in financial issues. Really?

Virginia Voter Fraud - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign is asking Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to launch an investigation into voter-registration forms that are being sent to Virginia residents and addressed to deceased relatives, children, family pets and others ineligible to vote.

Senate Cafeteria - Senate food service workers voted not to join a union (Service Employees International Union- SEIU affiliated local).

TSA – The government organization has gotten an injection in funding and now will be patrolling bus and train stations.

Election Enthusiasm – The latest Gallup polls show Democratic enthusiasm as its lowest levels since the 2000 election and Republicans at their highest point since 2000.

Obamaisms - "Just like we've tried their plan, we tried our plan, and it worked...that's why I'm running for a second term." “Mr. Romney wants to get rid of funding for Planned Parenthood. I think that is a bad idea,” Obama said. “I’ve got two daughters. I want them to control their own health care choices. We’re not going backwards, we’re going forwards.”

USDA – Caving to pressure from farmers and dairy producers the USDA retracts its call for “Meatless Mondays” – the latest initiative pushed by the UN.

You know the USDA is infiltrated with liberals when it never occurred to them that farmers and dairy producers might not take kindly to the U.S. gov’t promoting meatless Mondays.

    1. USDA does not want us to feed wild animals because they can become dependent on humans, but they also run the food stamp program - go figure.

  2. Great observation, Patrick. Once again, failure to apply the same common sense to humans that we apply to animals points to motives that have nothing to do with the desire to feed the poor.
