Obama’s Lowlights (8/27/12)

Stock Market - Due to questionable accounting practices and high prices, many Chinese companies are pulling assets out of the U.S. Stock Market.

Voter ID – According to a recent Washington Post Poll over 74% of Americans believe a valid photo ID be required to vote. In other news, a Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court judge denied a bid by civil rights groups to block the new voter identification law from taking effect, delivering a first-round victory to Gov. Corbett and legislative Republicans who pushed the measure through this spring saying it was needed to prevent voter fraud.

Green – The Export-Import Bank has guaranteed 2 billion in loans to develop green energy in South Africa.

Medicare – Here is an interview between ABC’s Tapper and Obama on ObamaCare Medicare Cuts: TAPPER: “Are you willing to pledge that whatever cuts in Medicare are being made to fund health insurance, one third of it, that you will veto anything that tries to undo that?” OBAMA: “Yes. I actually have said that it is important for us to make sure this thing is deficit neutral, without tricks. I said I wouldn’t sign a bill that didn’t meet that criteria.”

Hate - The Family Research Center (FRC) has been labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center because of their support for Chick-Fil-A. Last week a person attacked the FRC headquarters in Washington DC injuring one person.

Black Panther Party – Here is a statement by the BPP about the RNC convention in Tampa Bay: "We are under siege in Tampa because of this Republican National Convention." "The Republicans hate black people." "You better believe I'm going to put my God damned boot on their motherf****** necks!"

Jenna Ryan – The Huffington Post ran an article blasting Paul Ryan’s wife for defending cigar, nuclear, and pharmaceutical companies in her career as a lawyer.

AP – In an article this past week they called the recession recovery the worst since the Great Depression.

Homeland Security – Janet Napolitano is facing several lawsuits for favoritism towards women.

Fundraising – Obama has now held 200 fundraisers, Bush held 86 in two terms.

Arizona - In an executive order, Governor Brewer said she was reaffirming the intent of current Arizona law denying taxpayer-funded public benefits and state identification to illegal immigrants. This was in response to thousands of illegal aliens lining up across the country to get work permits based on Obama’s latest unilateral immigration policy. In fact, the Obama administration told China’s communist leaders that Arizona’s immigration law is "an example of a 'troubling trend' in the United States and an indication of “discrimination or potential discrimination” in American society."

Joe Biden - According to reporters following Biden on the campaign trail, staffers are editing press pool reports. Pool reports are developed and issued by press, for press in order to keep up with Biden's schedule and events, among other things.

Julian Assange – The Wikileaks founder has been granted asylum in Equator. This protects him from being extradited to face justice.

MSNBC – Host Toure suggests the Romney is engaging in the “N*ggerization of Obama”. What does that even mean?

Ha – let’s see him get from the Equator embassy in Britain to the plane that will take him to Equator. I’m rooting for the Brits.

  2. CW, there is a common theme in our posts and comments - redefining words - this week "hate".

I hope the Brits take down Assange too.
